For millions of women and girls, menstruation remains a challenge marked by stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to safe menstrual hygiene products. No girl should have to miss school, compromise her health, or face shame because of her period.

At Sulabh Sanitation Mission Foundation (SSMF), we are working to change this reality through menstrual hygiene awareness programmes, access to affordable sanitary products, and community-led initiatives that empower women and girls to manage menstruation safely and with dignity.

A skill can do more than generate income, it can restore confidence, create opportunities, and transform lives. Yet thousands of women and young people from underserved communities lack access to vocational training and livelihood opportunities.

Through SSMF’s Skill Development Centres, women and youth receive practical training in tailoring, handicrafts, eco-friendly product manufacturing, and other income-generating trades that help them build sustainable livelihoods and achieve financial independence.
