On the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, 2nd October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a significant event named “Swachhanjali” with the objective of paying homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and celebrating his commitment to cleanliness, marked a momentous occasion for India.
Our Social Worker working with various organizations like Ram Manohar Lohiya hospital, Akashwani, National Media Centre, Ravindra Sangrahalaya, Sangeet Natak Academy, & Human Resource Department, joined this event by giving Shramdan for one hour, spreading awareness about the cleanliness and sanitation.
Swachhanjali served as a platform for PM Modi to emphasize the importance of continuing the journey towards a cleaner and healthier India. He has been at the forefront of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign for cleanliness and sanitation launched in 2014. His dedication to the cause has been instrumental in driving change across the country.
Through Swachhanjali, we tried to give a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean and hygienic India. His tireless efforts to promote cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene were central to the Indian freedom struggle, and his teachings continue to inspire millions worldwide. On this day, the nation came together to remember and uphold his values.
